HARD CORE FISHING FROM BOAT. LONG DAYS IN HOT, SOMETIMES FUCKING HOT HUMID WEATHER.

You’ll need to bring your A game.

Depending on tides fishing may be in split AM and PM shifts. Fishing early morning, 6AM.

September is prime time. Light winds and hot muggy weather.

Mostly fishing for juvenile tarpon in Mangroves. Some Snook and Barracuda

Fishing from 18 foot Mexican pangas.  8 & 9 wt floating tropical lines.

Fishing out of the very quaint fishing town of San Felipe on the Gulf of Mexico. This is the real Mexico.

Guides know the water and how to find fish. Most likely they will speak little English and will not provide flies or leader.

Hotel in San Felipe has air conditioned rooms, modest, comfortable and safe. Very good inexpensive seafood restaurants around town and in Rio Lagartos.

Hotel in Valladolid is a beautiful Colonial hotel located in the Central Plaza. Valladolid is a Pueblo Magical. Enchanting.

The food in the Hotel is some of the best authentic Yucatan cuisine in the Yucatan. Very modestly priced.
